How to go from here to there? From there to here? Can we meet in the inbetween somewhere? So much space between us. So many houses and highways and little dust storms. So many sleepers and birthday parties and empty sidewalks. I want to sit down with our knees bumping and put my words right into your ear without any airplanes flying between them. I want to hear the sounds that your face makes while your lips are still. To be in the same space as your heart. To have our two tickers thump thump in their secret language. I want to see you dancing in real live action. See you light some space on fire with your feet and hips and hands all moving at once. To lie side to side and hear the small sounds of four in the morning. Sprinklers going off on golf courses, stoplights changing and walk signs signaling to no one that they can cross now. And then we can rise up in the morning time and eat some breakfast and have some tea and live. We can be alive together. We are alive together. Here we are.
